The company is located within the Oasis of the Mincio Natural Park, in an enchanting portion of territory, in the municipality of Volta Mantovana (Mantua) in the North / East of Italy. The soil, slightly calcareous and pebbly, is particularly suitable for the cultivation of vines, which has always characterized the agricultural production of the area. The climate benefits from the proximity of Lake Garda, which creates the environmental context favorable to this crop.
The vineyards are located among the gentle morainic hills with excellent sun exposure. For our vineyards, the training systems used are Guyot, for most of the surfaces, and then spurred cordon and simple arch, with a yield per hectare of about 70 quintals; for white wines it is the simple arch. Quality control starts in the vineyard through the reduction of the bunches on the plant to preserve the sparse ones. A rigorous manual harvest allows an initial selection on the plant of the ripest bunches. By placing the grapes in small containers, it is possible to preserve the intact grapes for a long time, maintaining their characteristics until pressing.
